Dear Parents, Players, Coaches and Supporters,
Well we've finally come to the end of the FQ representative season and, on behalf of the club, I'd like to take the opportunity to say a big thank you for everything you've done across both the State Titles and SEQ Premier League (and also those of you taking teams to the GCI)
I truly appreciate all the time & effort you've committed to attending selection trials, training sessions & game days.
In light of the large player turnover from last year and the fact that we've had to build some teams from scratch, I think we've done remarkably well this season - and for a small club I think we keep punching above our weight.
And for our efforts we've been named FQ Futsal Club of the Year!
Despite having another COVID affected season, Arana United still managed to field ten teams in FQ's SEQ Futsal Premier League, with many of those teams performing exceptionally well.
This year Arana fielded teams in the premier league - 11yrs boys 12yrs boys (2 teams) , 13yrs boys, 15yrs boys, 16 yrs boys 13yrs girls, 15yrs girls, Open Men and Open Women
We saw excellent performances by all teams however below are the highlights
- 4 of our 10 teams made it to semi finals
- 3 x Grand finalists, 2 x Champions, 1 x Premiers
- 15yrs boys Semi Finalists
- u15yrs girls Premiers and Grand Final Champions
- u16yrs boys Grand Final runners up
- Open Women Grand Final Champions
Individual Awards:
- Sierra McCaffrey Golden Boot u15yrs girls
With a record number of clubs and teams competing in the SEQ FPL, Arana United can be rightfully proud of its performances and we look forward to an even better 2022.
Yours sincerely,
Patrick McCormack
